2048 Rogue keeps the satisfying “slide to merge” core, then adds pressure to every move. After you combine tiles, the board introduces new pieces—so positioning, timing, and planning really matter.

As your merges progress, tiles evolve into adorable creatures and objects. Reach key evolution tiers to uncover story fragments hidden across your runs.

HOW TO PLAY

Merge identical tiles
Use arrow keys (or WASD) to move the grid. When two matching tiles meet, they merge into a higher form.

New tiles appear every move
After each move, the game spawns new tiles into empty spaces. Don’t let the board fill up too fast.

Higher-tier merges help your tiles evolve. Evolution is both your power and your path to story.

Run wisely (and undo mistakes)
When a random spawn breaks your plan, use Undo to recover from your last move—then choose a cleaner setup.

Endless mode is built for efficiency: keep merging, control space, and push your runs as far as you can.

Story mode adds guided progression and unlocks narrative fragments as your tiles reach specific evolution tiers.

RUN TIPS

Stay organized to keep combos alive

Work with a main direction — Pick a direction that keeps your best tiles reachable, then build consistent merges instead of random moves.
Protect your open space — New tiles spawn after every move—so leave at least one “safe lane” you can move into.
Undo before the damage stacks up — If a move makes it harder to merge, Undo early. It’s usually faster than trying to rescue a collapsing board.
Evolve deliberately — Higher-tier merges are stronger—but they also change the board. Plan to evolve without blocking yourself.
